This two-part session will feature Cath Hume, CEO of the Arts Marketing Association and Amy Fawdington and Jo Blackett of Northern Stage talking about two key areas of workplace change management - diversity and team optimisation.
Cath will speak about the importance of applying practical approaches to diversifying teams. Diverse teams have been shown to outperform those that are less diverse by up to 35%. For cultural organisations to reach diverse audiences, she says, we need to take an organisational approach to see long-term effects.
Amy and Jo will talk about the challenges they experienced and the benefits they have seen since completing the staffing restructure they led on. Struggling with consistency in service and training, which was brought to light through the introduction of new pricing and loyalty schemes, they needed to make some brave decisions about their team structure to meet their ambitious goals.
