Victoria Murray is Head of Communications at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, Scotland’s only theatre dedicated to new writing. She also holds a special position each August as the heart of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, managing the marketing, press and box office teams, with a particular focus on brand management, audience insight and development.
Prior to the Traverse she worked at the National Theatre of Great Britain as Marketing Manager for touring productions. This included their groundbreaking National Theatre Live initiative, encouraging over 5 million people in 52 countries to experience live theatre broadcast to their local cinema. During this time she was responsible for global brand management, multi-territory, multi-channel advertising and communications strategies.
Before joining the theatre industry, she gained extensive experience in commercial advertising, the music industry and independent film marketing.
