Achates Philanthropy Prize
Cultural philanthropy is at a standstill in Britain, whilst the fundraising climate is becoming ever more competitive and the charitable status of most arts organisations still isn’t understood by the wider public. This is why Achates Philanthropy has launched The Achates Philanthropy Prize – to encourage cultural organisations to engage with first-time donors of all levels of gift. We want to celebrate and share the stories behind the development of a new generation of philanthropists. We believe that culture is an essential part of society and that participating in philanthropy can be rewarding for everyone.
The winner will be chosen by an all-female judging panel and will receive the award, which has been commissioned from renowned sculptor, Pete Brooke-Ball and the nominating cultural organisation will receive a £5,000 donation from Achates Philanthropy. Spektrix Managing Director, Libby Penn, Young Philanthropy champion, Aliceson Robinson, Rossella Traverso of BOP Consulting, and Achates Philanthropy Director, Caroline McCormick will sit on this year's judging panel.
